@tobyelliott Hope everything goes well for you Toby
I have an idea that may be helpful or not
Instead of cards in Tiers, there’s a list of all the cards, and it’s quantity based tiers.
EG adding Timetwister to a precon is probably far less impactful than ten tutors/mana rocks
@jkyu06@Yammedup 5/5
Let me take that slip up because I probably need to explain this.
Apparently Bobby had asked friends to watch bag while he went to the bathroom and was planning to drop. They pizza’d his deckbox thinking he wouldn’t open it for weeks but then he didn’t drop and chaos ensued.
@jkyu06@Yammedup 4/
Bobby asks “would it be easier if I just dropped?”
Abe and I look at each other
Bobby “well that’s a yes”
Takes the paper match slip and marks 0-2 drop.
Opponent “I don’t want to win that way” and drops too
Bobby “someone has to win!” writes PIZZA WINS on slip
@jkyu06@LilAmericanPunk GP Atlantic City 2015, I was the judge.
It wasn’t a deck check, the player sat down, opened their deckbox, found a slice of pizza, and called a judge.
I will write this up in a thread for you.
@tobyelliott A medium kind of compromise that can clean up the card selection problems is to always remove the wrong cards immediately, and the opponent can choose to add the missing cards now or at next priority. Simply seeing fewer cards to select from is punitive without the possible chaos
@tobyelliott If it’s an INS / SOR what happens then?
There’s no SBA for one in play.
304.4. Instants can't enter the battlefield. If an instant would enter the battlefield, it remains in its previous zone instead.
This is kind of corners here but I actually have had this come up twice
@WotC_Matt @Dunkatog Double Strike Trample Deathtouch vs Indestructible if AP has to deal DT dmg in both 1st & reg, can we edit assigned in 702.2c to say either “being assigned” or “dealt” to clarify if a damage has to be assigned in the second strike or not? Reads ambiguous IMO.
@tobyelliott more on why I think missing draw trigger means silent solved is missed - consistency with when solving is a static ability and is not applied. EG if solved gives +1/+0 and my 2/2 doesn’t deal 3, either I missed trigger or GRV’d, or I’d vote missed trigger by GRV’ing
@tobyelliott Case of Ransacked Lab and AP casts 4 sorceries and passes turn. On next turn they cast a sorcery, don’t draw, then cast another + remember the draw trigger. Is the case solved + they missed the 1st draw trigger, or is the case is still unsolved? (I vote unsolved)
@tobyelliott bump, also a new one.
NAP casts Hallowed Moonlight, AP thinks this will exile Skysovereign so intentionally misses Greasefang trigger. Is AP Cheating? They THINK it’s advantageous but is actually worse for them, are they attempting to gain advantage here? I vote yes.
@tobyelliott for HCE upgrade on Morph can we clarify more on discovered the error themselves. If NAP casts a board wipe, and AP goes oh this Morph should have been this card, has AP D.T.E.T. since NAP hasn’t yet but was *about* to see it. Does it need zero NAP involvement?
