As we mark 50 years since the 1976 Youth Uprising, we honour the courage and sacrifice of the youth who shaped our democracy, while recommitting ourselves to creating opportunities that enable young people to participate meaningfully in the economy.
Later joined President Cyril Ramaphosa and thousands of young South Africans at the 2026 National Youth Day Commemoration in Johannesburg under the theme, “RESET@50 – The Future Calls.”

Following the handover of support under the BISP, we handed over equipment to beneficiaries of the Informal and Micro Enterprise Development Programme (IMEDP) in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality.

Mbalelanga Trading Enterprise, a 100% black-owned company, received support through BISP for the acquisition of a Caterpillar (CAT) excavator. The company provides plant hire services, including graders, TLBs and trucks, and currently employs 18 people.

The visit was followed by a handover of machinery to a beneficiary of the Business Infrastructure Support Programme (BISP) in KuGompo, Mdantsane.

Today we are in BCMM for the Small Business Clinic.
The programme includes the handover of productive assets and equipment to beneficiaries of BISP, Asset Assist, and IMEDP, as well as access to workshops and funding opportunities.
