This contribution is part of a broader investment of R23.8 million supporting 114 beneficiaries across the Eastern Cape, reaffirming government’s commitment to empowering small businesses and driving inclusive economic development.

The handover forms part of an investment of R4.4 million benefiting 21 entrepreneurs in Buffalo City, aimed at enhancing business operations, increasing productivity and supporting enterprise growth.

We also handed over symbolic cheques to beneficiaries of the Asset Assist Programme in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, acknowledging support already provided through the delivery of productive equipment and assets to their businesses.

Supporting informal and micro enterprises remains central to our efforts to build inclusive local economies, expand opportunities for entrepreneurs and create sustainable livelihoods in communities across South Africa.

Through an investment of R1,38 million, 86 beneficiaries received business equipment and tools that will help strengthen their enterprises, improve productivity and create opportunities for growth.

Following the handover of support under the BISP, we handed over equipment to beneficiaries of the Informal and Micro Enterprise Development Programme (IMEDP) in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality.

Mbalelanga Trading Enterprise, a 100% black-owned company, received support through BISP for the acquisition of a Caterpillar (CAT) excavator. The company provides plant hire services, including graders, TLBs and trucks, and currently employs 18 people.

The visit was followed by a handover of machinery to a beneficiary of the Business Infrastructure Support Programme (BISP) in KuGompo, Mdantsane.

We began the day with a visit to Style E-Bikes, an enterprise incubated at the East London Industrial Development Zone (ELIDZ).

Today we are in BCMM for the Small Business Clinic.

The programme includes the handover of productive assets and equipment to beneficiaries of BISP, Asset Assist, and IMEDP, as well as access to workshops and funding opportunities.
