CSIR-IIIM Jammu Concludes Skill Development Training Programme on Preclinical Research Techniques!

CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu successfully concluded the four-day Skill Development Training Programme on “Laboratory Animal Imaging and Experimental Techniques for Preclinical Research” under the CSIR-Integrated Skill Initiative.

The programme provided participants hands-on exposure to laboratory animal handling, experimental techniques, ethical practices, and advanced in vivo imaging technologies.

During the valedictory session, Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM Jammu, congratulated the participants and appreciated the efforts of the organising team. He emphasised the importance of skill development initiatives in strengthening research capabilities and encouraged young researchers towards innovation and scientific excellence.

The three-day Skill Development Training Programme on “Hands-on Training on Natural Products Isolation & Characterization” under the CSIR-Integrated Skill Initiative concluded successfully today at CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu.

Addressing the valedictory session, Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM, congratulated the participants and encouraged young researchers to embrace scientific thinking, innovation, and collaboration in contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The programme brought together 30 participants from universities and research institutions across India, providing hands-on exposure to advanced techniques in natural products isolation, chromatographic separation, spectroscopy, and modern analytical methods used in drug discovery research.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM Jammu, who encouraged the participants to harness India's rich biodiversity for innovation, drug discovery, and entrepreneurship.
