Incredible move in the 10 yr bond yield in a week - from 5.36% to 4.95%. Bonds got too cheap. Equities next to go as multiples have corrected 17% from highs.
$IBM - nice rebound from 2Q: TR g +5% vs 1% Q/Q, EPS +11% vs 5% Q/Q, SW +8% vs 5%, Infra +4% vs -7%, Consult in line. FCF $3B vs $2.5B - guide for '26 north $1B.
$COF: Finally a beat with strong credit, better revs in NII and non NII with opex in line. 9x EPS & 1.1x book for a quality card company and a global payments network.
$SPCX: Couldn't ask for more from the Q. Beat across board, segment - TR/EBITDA/OI/EPS. GM 62% vs 59% expected, OM 19% vs 12% expected and Capex in line. Set it and forget it...
Every AP Top 25 team, next to what its roster costs.
BYU: No. 2 in America, 39th in spending.
Texas: No. 19, most expensive roster in the sport.
Who's getting the most for their money?

An interesting stat:
$SPX on an index level is just -2% off all-time highs … but the underlying components, when equal-weighted, are on average -19% below their 52-week highs.
Opportunity for catchup possibly.
$TFC: T/A just beginning under new CEO at 1X book.
Mixed Q but lower expenses, taxes and provisions. Mgmt changes and another asset sale. Most impressive is ROTCE 16-18%. Similar to $WFC.
Interesting week of rotation - while XLK fell 7%, energy rose 4.3%, staples up 4.8% and HC up 3.6%. Even financials recovered after pretty good EPS x Cap Mkts/M&A. Next week 30% of $SPX report. Will be fun!

$UNH: Amazing what a proven CEO can do for a company. Helmsley joined in May 2025, immediately bought $25m worth of stock at $288 and today reported a beat and raise with fundamentals improving in all segment. Stock up 37% since he rejoined.
This seems extreme:
Money market inflows were $166B last week - the most since April 2020. Cumulative annual inflows now past the $1T mark. This while $SPX multiples have fallen 17% YTD with earnings up DD.
Looking forward to strong earnings next week with the start o the big banks. Will support strong consumer and the AI revolution. With consistent CPI/PPI.
Lovely tune - enjoy the weekend
