@JC4R I’m still on the old 20gb $10 photography plan. It’s not offered to new subscribers, but I’ve had it for over a decade and they haven’t forced me into their more expensive 1tb plan, thankfully.
Had a dream I was in a flea market with the Blu-ray box set of the Dick Van Dyke Show in my hand, trying to decide if I wanted to buy it.
…but in the dream it was a Western and 59 Seasons long, so I kept thinking, “I know this is good, but man, that’s so much Western.”
@TomFawkes The Lost Age is a fascinating game when you consider the intricate connections to GS1 and definitely the overall scope, but that same scope kills the enjoyability of the game, too. The team had so many ideas and implemented all of them; it desperately needed trimmed.
I’m not a big shmup guy, but I sincerely appreciate the approach that R-Type is taking. From GKC to full cart, and now delaying the cart release to ensure a polished product that works without needing a patch later.
This is the way. I will gladly wait for games that choose this.
We’ve collected every N64, GameCube, Wii, and Wii U title. Halfway through SNES, too.
And every time I think, “well, maybe Switch wouldn’t be *too* bad”, I remember that not only are there over 4,000 physical titles across all regions, but they’re *still* releasing.
So uh… no.
Catching up with your parents in your 30s is hearing, “do you remember so-and-so? They died.”
Saying you don’t remember will elicit, “oh *you* remember so-and-so! They did [thing] when you were [age]!”
I’ve learned this is a universal experience.
I’ll never forget an early memory of packing for a trip and mom saying to take extra underwear, “just in case”.
To this day, before a trip, I count out, “Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, crap myself once, crap myself twice, crap myself three times…”
30 years, no issues, I still do it.
