I am glad to announce my candidacy in Victoria with the Libertarians for the Senate in the upcoming federal election.

For many years, the Uniparty of Liberal and Labor have neglected Australians. With more restrictions on freedom, more taxes, and more inflation.

Our country needs real change for every Australian and for a prosperous society. I want you to make your own choices for yourself and your family.

Tonight I called Warren Pickering of PHON to congratulate him on the One Nation result and likely picking up the sixth Senate spot in Vic.

While the final Senate results won't be known for several days, it's clear the Libertarians have much work to do to grow awareness and sell our message.

Nevertheless I'm immensely proud of the campaign I ran, and of all the candidates, volunteers, members, supporters and the best Victorians who voted for us over the past two weeks.

Defeat and setbacks are a part of life, and when channelled the right way can be among the best drivers of growth and future success.

Tomorrow will be a day of rest and no social media for me, I have earned a good sleep. Thank you all, the road to 2028 starts now!

The Liberal Party is weak, incompetent, and unprincipled. This election has showed the continued decline of the Liberal Party. They don’t have the ability to hold Labor accountable or represent Australians.

The Liberal Party stands for nothing and don’t know what they stand for. Are they lefties? conservatives? Many call them different things. One thing they don’t stand for is being ‘liberal’ as their name implies that’s for sure.

From weak leadership, to weak policy, they are clueless and have no idea. Their statement says they are the low tax party, but promised higher taxes if they won? Their statement says they support free speech but their policies oppose free speech? What do they believe in? What do they stand for? Backflipping on policy announcements on the election campaign shows how much of a mess they are.

If they continue on this path, other parties will need to continue filling the gap for centre-right voters

It’s been great talking to voters during this election campaign and supporting lead senate candidate @Dittloff4Senate and my local candidate for Bruce @christineskrobo.

It’s clear people are fed up with both major parties with their primary votes continuing to decline every election.

People want real change and an alternative option from more of the same of the Labor and Liberal Uniparty.

Now all we can do is wait for the count with a good chance to win the last Senate seat in Victoria, and hope there’s a good balance of power to keep the major parties in line.

Australia’s -8.3% collapse in real household disposable income—the worst in the developed world—exposes the failure of both major parties. Labor and Liberal governments overregulate, overtax, and distort markets, making life harder for everyday Aussies 🇦🇺

The pattern is clear: the more controlled an economy, the worse the outcomes. Governments meddle with housing, wages, and energy ⚡️ markets, pushing up costs while debasing our currency. Meanwhile, freer economies thrive, with rising incomes and stronger purchasing power.

A @LibertariansAus lead approach would bring lower taxes, free markets, and less government interference. It would allow Australians to prosper. Less red tape means businesses grow, wages rise naturally, and prices could stabilize.

Internationally, Australia 🇦🇺 would be a trade powerhouse, not a nanny-state basket case.

The solution is to stop 🛑 voting for economic illiterates. The Libertarian Party offers a real alternative: fiscal responsibility, individual freedom, and a government that gets out of the way so Australians can build wealth without bureaucrats destroying it.

THE 2025 FREEDOM SUMMIT OUTCOMES

The outcomes of the Freedom Summit are:

1) a 2 for 2 preference swap in QLD and VIC between the Libertarians and Gerrard Rennick's People First.

This means that if one party's first preferences exhaust early, their preferences will flow to the other.

2) a true Senate Coalition ticket in NSW, with a coalition name above the line, and Libertarian, HEART Party, and People First below the line.

This means that voters supporting People First, HEART or the Libertarians will have one place to put their vote on the NSW senate ballot!

3) This account/entity, the Australia First Alliance, has been established by the parties to boost areas of shared policy values (free speech, lower taxes, and COVID justice) as well as engage in voter education on preferences and more!

4) All parties have committed to the Freedom Parties First Pledge - that they will ensure they preference other Freedom Parties ahead of the major parties and the Greens in the Senate! This pledge remains open to all parties to commit to, not just summit attendees!

5) A second freedom summit will be held on Sunday 1 June 2025 following the latest possible election date, to discuss the results of the election and make plans for future collaboration!

My further thoughts on the Casey Council meeting:

1.1 The councillors should not be blaming the residents for being rightfully upset on these important issues. They should be pointing the finger at senior council staff and the previous administrators for creating these issues; the council is the one out of line here regarding the private land permits.

1.2 The councillors are new, and we haven’t had councillors for more than 4 years. We should give them a chance to get around these important issues and wait to see if they will stand up for their constituents over senior council staff. If any councillors stand with senior staff over the community, we should also rightly call them out.

2. The meetings are run terribly and are very one-sided. Residents need to pre-submit a question, only for senior council staff to read off the same piece of paper to answer, which they often dodge the question. There should be an open microphone for residents to speak with their representatives instead of senior council staff talking down to us in one-sided meetings.

My message to the councillors:

1. Always remember you were elected to represent your constituents, so make sure you listen to your constituents over unelected bureaucrats.

2. Be prepared to review anything passed by the administrators and don’t be afraid to stand up for your constituents over council staff.

3. Changing the meetings to 6pm was a great much needed step, but we need more open and accessible meetings.

Although the councillors are new, there is lots of work to be done and I hope they can do the right things.

My further thoughts on Casey Council’s Private Land-use Permits:

1. Property Rights are protected under Section 20 of the Victorian Human Rights Charter. To Quote – “Protects your right to not be deprived of your property, including land, possessions and shares. The Charter applies to public authorities in Victoria, such as state and local government.”

1.1. Council has clearly violated these Rights by trespassing onto private property and stealing 3 vehicles. These actions from Council are disgraceful and they need to be held accountable for these actions.

2. We don’t want/need Council to tell us how many cars, caravans or jet skis we can own; this is overreach. It’s not Council land, people pay rates, taxes, and work hard to own property, the council should have no right to tell us what to do on our land and charge us for permits.

3. For the few people who may cause disturbance from their property (i.e. being loud on a motorbike), having permits don’t prevent these actions from occurring in the first place and can be dealt with as public disturbance, not a property issue. It’s a waste of bureaucracy and ratepayer funded resources.

Councils need to stop sticking their nose into our private backyards and just fix the roads and collect the rubbish.

Here’s some of what I said about the Casey Council meeting and permits when speaking with @7NewsMelbourne yesterday. The quality isn’t great.

Today I spoke with @7NewsMelbourne about the Casey Council meeting last night and vehicle permits.

Residents are rightly frustrated with council overreach and sick of their private property rights being taken away.

Councils need to stop sticking their nose into our private backyards and just fix the roads and collect the rubbish.

We need an urgent review of these local laws around vehicle permits.
