As Patron of the Heritage foundation, I launched the Pacu Album, which is a compilation of music from Acholi and Lango.

I congratulate Natasha Karugire and the Heritage group for going back to our roots.

Before the coming of colonialists to Africa, the continent had made many developments, but our indigenous people were let down by some internal weaknesses which the cultural leaders failed to deal with, and the foreigners conquered us. This caused many traumas as the colonialists attempted to extinguish our culture.

I am therefore happy that the heritage foundation is moving in the right direction of preserving & promoting the positive aspects of Uganda’s culture, and I wish them good luck.
