@waronweakness I closed on a 2000 acre ranch in South Dakota. No taxes. That is where I will retire and have horses, livestock, there is a lake for fish, and it will be my dream. All from not selling goofy books on the net or self-help schemes. From investing in three companies with my pals.
@WSJ The fixed cost savings of NOT having space for white collars is a very large number. Some have to go to work, but meetings and other events not useful. WebEx works much better. I do the same think from my home on a lake that I did in the office. No gasoline purchase since Feb.
@The_MMW@monteiro_wandi My education with hardcore business books and cases at Wharton MBA. Feel good non-mathematic books don't do anything but enrich the sellers.
@waronweakness Yoda is running a hotel. A guest comes to check in. He would like the Triplex. Yoda says we are all booked there. "But I made a reservation!", said the man.

@GavBlaxberg Well almost last: Always document, video, and photograph your property. Save all receipts. This way you can prove to insurance companies, and keep relationship GF from getting anything as all is separate property. If you must marry, make sure of it.Nothing goes to her.
@GavBlaxberg Also, have a living trust and a number of holding companies for assets, and companies you own. -real estate. Pay your taxes and don't lie.
The best result is to stay far away from relatives who are listed as "no get" in the living trust. Nothing. Saves Probate. 100% of mine are
@GavBlaxberg One can never be in good enough shape, or be too rich. Give to non-religious charities (after checking them out).
Wealth protects one from bad things. You can never have enough liability insurance either. Nor go without a top law firm on immediate retainer.
@GavBlaxberg Extreme frugality. There is no need for toys. The object of life is to make the most money possible before you die. There are a few other purposes more important than this. Reading self-businesses books-waste. Get to know CEOs and CFO's. I do and have a Rolodex of them (old term
