The 1st Knives Out movie made 300mil on a 40mil budget and Netflix barely puts the new ones in theaters

@ctv_mack @FlyoutChase Ehh idk man, multiple studios out-spend Netflix in content. Also directors don’t really like them because Sarandos has stated multiple times about theaters not really being important to them. I will give you that Netflix will spend a lot for good directors they can obtain

@FlyoutChase I get your point but paying $20 per DVD back then is not as big of a threat to theaters as people paying less than that a month for a catalog of 1000s of movies.

Business-wise, it makes sense for Netflix. But this 100% will cause a decline to the art form of movies in the future
