@SchoolChoicePro@OhioPEP Charters. Which also drain $1.3 billion a year out of the same funding pot. That’s $2.6b for vouchers and charters that come directly out of the state funding pot meant to fund public schools.
@SchoolChoicePro@OhioPEP 🙄The state’s own funding formula required about 3x that $1b increase. We’re that short because of vouchers, which come outta the same state funding line. Local taxpayers hafta make up the diff, if they want their kids to have what the state formula says they need.
@SchoolChoicePro@OhioPEP I dunno. Maybe your brilliant gotchas are why you have 16 followers? I mean, O’Linn claims K-12 spending went up so much public schools shouldn’t bitch. But nearly 1/2 of the increase he cites went to less than 10% of all Ohio K-12 kids — those in private school. 🤦♂️
@elyriajablo@SchoolChoicePro Yeah. Again. These were adults whose kids were already in private schools. Enrollment hasn’t changed by 100k. Taxpayers are paying for 100k more students. And they’re paying the schools not the parents. But whatever. 🙄

@HammerNation19 Honest question: If Watson takes #Browns to the Super Bowl this year (highly unlikely, but it is the NFL), is the Watson trade the best in Browns history?
@TonyGrossi Craigslist killed newspapers. Because Craigslist killed classifieds (later FB marketplace). THAT was the death of newspapering. As someone who watched it murder the Akron Beacon Journal up close and personal. Lots of important stories no one read. Didn’t make them meaningless.
