Stop oversimplifying Costa Mesa.

From College Park to Mesa del Mar, District 3 is packed with unique history, incredible neighbors, and strong communities. But for too long, our neighborhoods like an afterthought.

Clear identity, community pride, and visible support don’t take a massive budget—they just take a council that cares enough to try.

It’s time our local neighborhoods get the attention and respect they deserve.

Candidates for mayor and three council seats have raised over $247,000 with nearly $145,000 still in the bank through June 30.

Daniel Morgan leads every candidate in the city: $70,654 raised, $44,449 cash on hand.

🚨 IS CALIFORNIA SUING COSTA MESA? 🚨

The short answer: Yes. The State of California is officially suing Costa Mesa because the city has failed to comply with its required Housing Element—a deadline that was missed all the way back in October 2021.

Five years later, we are still out of compliance, and it’s creating immense pressure to accept a development plan for the Fairview Development Center that simply doesn’t serve our community’s best interests.

We need to make our voices heard, but we need to do it strategically. That’s why our upcoming meeting on July 22nd is so critical.

Wednesday, July 22nd: Join us for a prep session where I, along with a few industry experts, will coach and prepare you to give the most effective public comments possible.

Thursday, July 23rd: The city’s official Town Hall meeting. This is where we show up and put our preparation into action.
As a former Planning Commissioner with over 10 years of experience in master-planned community development, I want to make sure our community has the tools and guidance to fight this effectively.

Couldn't leave the #SongsInTheCanyon event yesterday without picking up this great hat from MaedN Threads 😄! Songs in the Canyon brought out some of Costa Mesa and Orange County's best — live music, local artists, great food, and even better people. This event showcased the eclectic, vibrant character that makes our city so special. Already looking forward to next year!

Tomorrow, Costa Mesa City Council discusses spending $250k/yr of our cannabis tax on a housing "demand subsidy" that only helps a select few.

We should invest that money in things that benefit EVERYONE: fixing IT, park rangers, police, or the arts.
