@anneapplebaum@nprfreshair Anne, your knowledge and generous outputs on this gives us the material to really understand and rise to the moment. I'm halfway through Twilight and Red Famine is next. Your dedication and generosity is appreciated!
@RayDoesData Ray, with your math stuff for testing numbers, is there anything to suggest these numbers represent the lab resolving a backlog of tests? Anecdotally, people who got tests yesterday morning (in SJ) had results this afternoon. Last weekend it was 72+ hours. thanks for all u do!
A lot of hard work went into this! Excited for our Indigenous staff and clients to meaningfully apply innovation and technology to further support communities from coast to coast to coast.
@DonnaReardonsj What's great about Fundy Heights is, surprise, surprise, how it was planned. You might think utility poles and power lines are underground ($$$), but they're actually running above ground along rear lot lines, like service lanes without the lanes! Looks great without the clutter!
@jupia We desperately need developers. The small # of new housing is problematic, but so is the lack of diversity. Developers found a market for 2 bdrm units and just replicate that product. We still need 3+ bedrooms across singles, townhouses etc, esp. to attract and retain newcomers.
Most countries have focused their early vaccination efforts on priority groups like the clinically vulnerable, older people and front-line workers.
We’re tracking the share of the population that has received one dose or are fully vaccinated. https://t.co/ZN0sOeLcy5
@morganlanigan @thecaitdiaries @culturehub @Brentrjharris8 @thewrightpage@DalhousieU Still lots of great ideas and concepts in the report. Biggest takeaway for me is that the Province needs to act for anything to realistically happen here.
@morganlanigan @thecaitdiaries @culturehub @Brentrjharris8 @thewrightpage Just chatted to @culturehub about getting a copy online. Heads up tho, this was written by mere baby planners as a @DalhousieU report and not an approved or official plan by the City. There are official policies directing change in the Cen. Pen Plan.
The survey results are in! All (but 1) MLA candidates in Saint John support modernizing the Motor Vehicle Act. What about their leaders? @KVickers@BlaineHiggs2020 @KrisAustinPA @DavidCCoon @mbgthomason

Every single political party this year missed the March 31 deadline specified in legislation for filing their 2019 financial returns and Elections NB made accommodations in each case.
One study every 2.5 years on municipal reform in the last 60 years.
The problems are clear.
The answers are clear.
Our politicians are NOT clear.
Which party has the courage to finally deliver? It's a $1,000 bill just laying in the middle of the street. Pick it up. #nbpoli
@dondarlingSJ@staplemusical It's hard to fathom the level of investment that was required for Saint John's Urban Renewal and it puts the ridiculousness of a lack of commitment (from Province) to take a lane or two back on Main for cycling, into perspective.
If you’re interested in how to get a complete network of downtown protected bike-lanes built, the pilot/trial run by “conservative” #Calgary may be the best I’ve seen in North America. From a barely approved pilot, to UNANIMOUS SUPPORT TO MAKE IT PERMANENT.
