It was a pleasure meeting with Ariana Doolan, the @LNPQLD candidate for Pumicestone today. We discussed the importance of protecting the local environment and turtles, as well as the need for the Queensland LNP to release their own clean energy transition plan ☀️
@DavidCrisafulli
We’ve got two billboards in Clayfield calling on Opposition Leader @DavidCrisafulli to stand up for our nature, communities and economy by supporting climate action.
We're asking the Qld LNP to vote in Parliament for these targets and commit to a plan for reaching them.
It was lovely to meet @JenMP4Ipswich today on behalf of the Power Together coalition. We're asking for more funding in this year's state budget for energy efficiency upgrades and solar for renters 🌞 @MickdeBrenni@camerondickqld
Amazing news! Queensland's new Premier has just announced a new 75% by 2035 emission reduction target. This is an incredible step that will help our climate, communities and nature thrive. Thank you Premier @StevenJMiles for taking this important leap in the right direction.
Many of the politicians that are now drumming up an anti-renewable energy narrative under the guise of protecting biodiversity are the same voices that have stood against stronger land clearing laws and supported new coal mines🤦♀️

Very nice to catch up with @DrCRowanMP today to discuss the importance of bi-partisan support for strong climate action and the energy transition ☀️👷♀️
The NSW Coalition set a great example this week by pushing for stronger climate targets. We'd love to see @LNPQLD do the same!
Thanks for meeting with members of the Power Together coalition today @MarkBaileyMP.
Queenland's Energy & Jobs Plan is an impressive large-scale pathway to clean energy. The missing piece is what we can do at the household level: solar, storage & energy efficiency upgrades 🌞🔋
Great to meet with @mc_millan4 on behalf of Power Together to chat about the importance of solar and energy efficiency for Queensland's social housing and private rentals. We have the technology to bring down power bills and slash emissions, let's use it! 🌞 @MickdeBrenni
Our latest report, released alongside @LockTheGate, found that fugitive emissions—that’s gas leaking out of coal & gas extraction sites—will be the largest source of emissions in Queensland by 2030. That’s right, even more than our electricity, agriculture & transport sectors🤯
Great to meet with @JarrodBleijieMP today with local constituents and Solar Citizens' volunteers Fergus and Heather. We discussed the value of Virtual Power Plants on social housing and helping more households access battery storage 🔋⚡️
Media release: Joint Renewable Hydrogen Funding a Win for Regional Queenslanders.
Solar Citizens today celebrates the announcement that the Australian and Qld govts have joined partners to contribute $117m towards Gladstone’s green hydrogen industry.

We're calling on the @QldGov to support Renewable Energy Industrial Precincts to stimulate Queensland manufacturing and build future-proof regional economies.
It's amazing to campaign with these climate champions 🌞💪 Read our joint policy paper here: https://t.co/0Y03T1qe0U
I'm very proud to be working on this campaign. Solar for all isn't easy but there are key steps we can take to achieve it:
✅️ A VPP on social housing
✅️ Minimum energy efficiency standards for existing rentals
✅️ Incentives for landlords
Let's go Qld!
Today we launched the Power Together collaboration with @QLDConservation, @QCOSS_ & others to call on @QldGov to urgently address spiralling power bills by investing in more publicly-owned clean energy & solar for all ✊🌞
@AnnastaciaMP @camerondickqld

Great to see!
The Qld Government has doubled its electric vehicle rebate to $6000 and increased the threshold for eligible vehicles to $68000. This makes the sunshine state a leader in both rooftop solar and clean transport 💪🌞⚡🚗
Well done @MarkBaileyMP and @MickdeBrenni
Over the weekend we hosted a community forum alongside the Queensland Community Alliance with Queensland's Energy Minister @MickdeBrenni.
Thank you Minister for listening to the community and committing to work on a solution to support solar on rentals and social homes 👏🌞
I don't think any Australian would open a large power bill and respond, "I know. The solution is to build the most expensive electricity generation that'll take more than a decade to get up and running".
But that's what nuclear is: it's not a solution, it's a red herring 🐟
We started working in Townsville in 2019 when the media narrative was that regional Qlders had rejected action on climate. Today the only mention of coal was that new coal royalties are funding CopperString. Everyone is talking about renewables and clean manufacturing for NQ 🙌🌞
Huge day for North Queensland with the announcement @QldGov will build the CopperString transmission line. On what this means for the region the Premier just said: "Townsville will be on the global map as a clean energy manufacturing superpower." YES 👏🌞
MR: CopperString 2.0 Announcement Major Win for North Queensland
“We’ve been campaigning for grid upgrades in north west Queensland for years now because the region has some of the country’s best co-located solar and wind resources"

This morning our Deputy Director Steph and local volunteers Janet and Peter had a good chat with @tedobrienmp about the importance of Fuel Efficiency Standards.
Ted was excited to have a ride in our EV ute when the roadshow comes to Qld 🛻⚡️
