@paulmasonnews@wesstreeting Plus PR which is on Burnham’s list. “Broad church” parties are now dysfunctional. If we had had PR the extremes of L&R would have peeled off to form other parties, Brexit wouldn’t have happened and Starmer would have been able to implement welfare reforms
@campbellclaret@AndyBurnhamGM Best of Burnham is plan for PR because “Broad church” parties have passed their sell by date. If we had had PR the extremes of L&R would have peeled off to form other parties, Brexit wouldn’t have happened and Starmer would have been able to implement welfare reforms: Discuss
Changing PM would in my view be a disaster for the UK internationally, esp if J Powell went too. That duo have kept UK leading with France on Ukraine, handled the Iran crisis skilfully and managed acute tensions with the US. No likely successor has any foreign policy experience
@drangiehobbs The answer is not to ditch #Starmer but to keep him low profile till the UK herd mind shifts He’s a star on the world stage but at home he’s a flop So make it a team effort Keep him abroad, but big up *Team Labour* at home & get the best communicators out front.

The obvious way for Labour to survive and even thrive against Britain's insanely biased right wing press:
Have policies so loud and so brash that the RW media can never drown the message out.
Like rejoining the EU.
Like implementing PR.
The voters tempted by Reform are lost. They're not coming back. Reform-lite will never be enough for them. Not for the next election cycle anyway. (They have to try it and get burned first.)
Labour needs to attract OTHER voters.

@edwinhayward The answer is not to ditch #Starmer but to see less of him. The high profile International leader/Trump whisperer role just put him in the firing line. The answer is to make it a TEAM effort. Keep him abroad, but at home get your best communicators out front (+PR)

@charlotteukcity Personally I think the last thing we need is all this drama. Also so fed up of Burnham the messiah who will solve everything. There are a lot of other people who are behind his success in Manchester who were working away before he arrived. His record in government is not amazing
I want to cry.
I was so happy after years of immoral leaders to have Keir Starmer elected. He was dignified. When I see the media relentlessly attack him, haters troll him & his party betray him, it’s all so vile.
This job meant so much to him. I hope TRUE friends are near him😔
The problem with #BBCQT is that the programme is invariably high jacked by the most gobby speakers like Robert Jenrick. It would be greatly improved if every panellist was subjected to a set time limit to answer the question. As it is the questions can get lost in the verbiage.
