@emilykmay Oof, I had several of these. (Don't know what that says about me...) The common thread seems to have been that they fell apart whenever I set boundaries on my time, energy, and emotional availability, usually following a significant life event.

Got in a hospital elevator today with 2 unmasked people, despite signs everywhere indicating masks required. Super excited to be having surgery to birth a tiny vulnerable human next week in the midst of this shit. 🙄😷

Hospital acquired Covid now accounts for 39% of Covid admissions. Hospital acquired covid counts have increased faster than other Covid admissions since the start of November.

Last week's changes in admissions:

Really frustrated with my endocrinologist's office rn. There is a large "masks required" sign upon entering the building, but no one in the office is wearing them anymore, and they are telling patients it's ok to take them off. By definition, all patients there are high risk.

Apart from creating "excess" embryos, IVF also takes hetero sex completely out of the equation, allowing lgbtq couples to conceive and cis women to independently control their own fertility. Those are two things the conservative "pro-life" movement wants to crack down on.

@hankgreen Glad you deleted this. I manage a band that pulls a decent audience, but every time we're forced to use tm, we get hundreds of comments and emails complaining that we are personally ripping off fans with the fees, when we never see a cent of that money.

Driving through the town I grew up in this morning and discovered that the local dive bar has been replaced by a Starbucks, and our high school late night hang Perkins has been replaced by a Chick-fil-A. Didn't expect my day to be ruined like that.
