Today a service in Moodiesburn marked the remembrance of the 62nd anniversary of the Auchengeich Mining Disaster in which 47 men did not come home from work that day on 18 September 1959.
I had the honour of laying a wreath remembering them on behalf of all my constituents.

Club 365 is running at weekends in our communities for primary pupils who receive free school meals.
It's on Saturdays & Sundays, 11.30am – 1.30pm.

The Scottish Government has announced two additional in-service days for all secondary school pupils (both mainstream and ASN).
This is for the purposes of SQA assessment.
In North Lanarkshire these additional in-service days are Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 June 2021.
