A boyfriend leads his colorblind girlfriend to watch a sunset. He surprises her with a pair of specialized glasses. As she puts them on and looks at the sky, her reaction shifts from curiosity to overwhelmed wonder.
Mike Tomlin coached the Steelers for 19 straight seasons without a single losing record. The whole time, he was quietly building a Minecraft city that almost nobody outside his house had ever seen.
He started it around 2014, when his kids were young. His reasoning was simple. "How do I meet them where they are and spend time with them?" So the most stoic man on an NFL sideline learned to place blocks.
Then the kids grew up. The city didn't stop.
Think about the schedule math here. He held the hardest job in football longer than any active coach, won a Super Bowl at 36, went 193-114-2, and still kept coming back to the same save file for 12 years. One world. One city. Through four Steelers quarterback eras.
The part that gets me is who pushed him to finally reveal it. His oldest son, the kid he originally picked up the game for, is the one telling him "Dad, you gotta share this with the world."
He built the city to get into his kids' world. Twelve years later, his kids are the ones bringing it into ours.
๐จ๐จ๐จ ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐: Cristiano Ronaldo has LEFT the Portugal camp following Jorge Jesusโ press conference!
โAfter everything I gave this shirt, I will not stay where respect is optional.
This is the end of my journey with the Portuguese national team.
To the Portuguese people,
I have worn this jersey since I was a boy. I carried it through nights of glory and nights of pain. I scored for it, I fought for it, I cried for it. I never asked to be treated like a king. I asked only to be treated like a man who has given his life to Portugal.
That respect did not come.
Before the match against Norway, I was told I would not start, but that I would enter the game. I accepted it. I warmed up. I stayed ready. Then the minutes passed, the substitutions came, and my name was never called. After the final whistle, I walked down the tunnel alone. Not because I do not love my teammates. Because I understood, in that moment, what my place had become.
A promise broken is not a tactical decision. It is a message. And I heard it clearly.
I have always said the same thing: the day they no longer count on me, I will be the first to leave. I will not create an atmosphere. I will not sit on the bench as decoration. I will not pretend that silence is professionalism when it is only humiliation dressed as strategy.
To Jorge Jesus: you are the coach. The team is yours. I do not question your right to choose. I question the way a captain of this country was handled after two decades of service. Authority without respect is not leadership. It is just power.
To my teammates: keep going. Win. Be better than we were. This generation has talent I never had at their age. Use it. Do not waste it on politics.
To the fans: you were never the problem. You sang my name when I was 18 and you sang it when I was 41. I will always be one of you. I will always be the first supporter of this national team. That does not change because a coach decided I no longer belonged on the pitch.
I leave with a clear conscience. I leave with 146 goals, with records, with scars, and with love. I do not leave because I cannot play. I leave because I refuse to stay where I am no longer wanted in the only way that matters: on the field, with dignity.โ
Thank you, Portugal.

Q: Who should be held accountable when the AI agents commit a crime?
Trump: It's not AI. We changed the name officially today to SI. Like sigh. SI instead of AI.

Holy Smokes, what a tribute.
The entire Marinersโ team emerges from the home dugout and onto the field here at T-Mobile Park, tipping their caps to Rick Rizzs moments before his final game.
It was all a gesture of surprise. The water works have begun.
Without question, Rick Rizzs has been a gift. I have been fortunate enough to work with him for 24 years and although I know he will not ever be far from the club, it is hard to say goodbye to what he brought us on the air.
It's shocking how fast even the worst of seasons go by. What goes mostly unnoticed for those outside the game is what also goes by in that time. I'm thrilled Rick gets that time now.
While he will always be a part of the #Mariners, there's so much that will be missed. Post below
