Being wealthy means "having lots of resources/assets"
Yet many "poor nations" in Africa are the same nations classified as "resource rich nations".
Resource rich but poor? Is it that the nations are rich but the people poor or the nations don't know they are rich? Just wondering

China's case proves that sizeable purchasing power, not multiparty democracy, is the trigger for domestic investments/FDIs. Africa must leverage the AfCFTA and the 1.2 billion population to stimulate domestic investments/FDIs else the search for FDIs will remain an illusion.

Building capacity without building self-confidence is wasted effort. If they have no confidence to question old theories nor the audacity to try new ideas, capacity building only prepares them to remain in the status quo and to look up to those who look down on them. Yep !!!

We were told foreign direct investments (FDIs) flow to countries with multiparty democracy but China now gets more FDIs than all western democracies including the USA and far far more than African nations with 40 years of multiparty democracy. Isn't it time for a new theory?
