@necronekokun@Rainmaker1973 Your lack of understanding is very prominent. I would encourage you to research one step further beyond the surface (pun) and you'll see the value of this work, and more importantly, it's effectiveness.
@Johnsmithe4xr@2daycouponLA@PUBG_Support Right, which could and should be automated, and, after hours. My previous statement is still true - anything service-disrupting is typically done after hours. No matter the type of work (server upgrades, maintenance, etc).
@2daycouponLA@PUBG_Support yes, and thats the WORST time to do it for ANY company. Also....I remember server updates taking 8.5 hours in 2005. Poverty engineering at its finest going on here.
@HaloTopCreamery I paid for a full pint. This is now the 4th pint like this. They used to be full to to top! I had one worse than this were 1/4 was missing. Cmon.
@PUBG_Support Can you think about some infrastructure upgrades? How about rolling regional updates? Break up the db so it's spread regionally and then hot swap the servers. You could have less than an hour of downtime for each region. Come on, this 8+hour downtime is junior-level engineering.
