PERSONAL NEWS: I’m 40 years old and this showed up in the mail today. 🎓
I officially earned my Occupational Skills Award in Emergency Management from ACC, I’m only 8 credit hours away from my associate degree, AND I’m taking 4 of those hours this semester.
I don’t care how old you are. Keep going.
Associate degree next. Then the bachelor’s.
LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOO. 🚨🎉
This is true.
The Ukraine war did not start in 2022. It started in 2014 with a CIA backed coup to overthrow the democratically elected, non-aligned President.
Followed by years of relentless attacks on the Russian speaking East.
Since Trump was elected, US steel prices have increased from around $800/metric ton to $1285/metric ton, a massive 61% cost increase--crippling U.S. manufacturers who rely on steel and products like tractors that are made with steel. (Price increase circled in red below). But congratulations on opening a new taxpayer-subsidized steel factory in Iowa, I suppose.
Our president just called Canada “one of the worst countries in the entire world.”
Canada.
This is an absurd thing for an American president to say about one of our closest allies.
If he’ll say something this ridiculous with a straight face, why should anyone trust a word that comes out of his mouth?
ATTENTION AUSTINITES: WE ARE OFF THE MARKET.
do not call, realtors. do not call. we will always have a realtor. in fact, she comes with the unit.
happy looming recession. @SteveBresnen
Thanks. Facts are a problem for lying dictators & their twitter propagandists. Yanukovytch ran to Moscow because that’s where his owner was. He didn’t run to London or Paris.
You're right about one thing, Zach: history doesn't start where it's convenient for you.
On 21 February 2014, Yanukovych signed a political settlement with the opposition, mediated by the foreign ministers of Germany, France and Poland, with a Russian representative participating in the negotiations.
The agreement provided for a return to the 2004 constitution, constitutional reform and an early presidential election.
Yanukovych then abandoned Kyiv. Parliament determined that he was no longer performing his constitutional duties and called an early presidential election.
Days later, Russian forces began taking control of Crimea.
And your claim that a nationalist or “neo-Nazi” minority was brought to power has another awkward problem: in the 2014 parliamentary election, Svoboda received 4.71% and Right Sector 1.81%.
As for the claim that the CIA “funded and organised a coup”: that's an assertion, not evidence.
So yes, let's stick to the chronology:
Yanukovych signed an internationally mediated political settlement.
Yanukovych fled.
Parliament called elections.
Russia sent troops into Crimea.
None of that gave Russia the right to seize Ukrainian territory.
History doesn't start where it's convenient for Russia either.
Trump’s sitting on $400 million in campaign money he could have used for this but chose to use taxpayer $ for it. Plus, it’s a stupid ad meant to self-aggrandize & fails miserably at that.
Putin has angelic patience and a steely will.
Otherwise, a global nuclear WWIII would have started long ago.
I do not condemn Putin and I do not support him in this. I just don't know what would be better in this situation. I'm just stating the facts.

I am Dutch, living in Moscow, married to my lovely Russian wife Irina, father to 3 Dutch and 2 Russian children, grandfather to 4 Dutch children.
Both sides want friends, not enemies
There are some people who are enemies of all but they aren't found in Russia.
Finally joined😉
I am from Norway – Russia is not my enemy. The enemy is the UN, NATO, EU, WEF, and the WHO – as well as our governments and the media – not Russia! ❤️🇳🇴🇷🇺
Lavrov at the UN:
"The Western minority dominated 500 years on others' resources -- still trying to hold onto its privileges, imposing its rules on everyone. ... As President Putin of Russia defined it, I quote: the dictatorship of one hegemon has run amok and is simply dangerous to those around it."
"the US invasion of Venezuela ended with the seizure of President Maduro and his wife -- held in an American prison without trial. ... We insist on the swift release of the leader and his wife."
"We regard as an unacceptable act of force-diktat the killing of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, of his family and the military and political leadership of the Islamic Republic. It is especially alarming that the US-Israeli aggression begun last June, targeted not only civilian infrastructure but peaceful nuclear sites under IAEA safeguards. This has done irreparable damage... to the entire nuclear non-proliferation system."
"Erasing Nazi Germany's guilt for the Soviet genocide, unashamed of Germany, main sponsor of the Nazi regime in Kiev, Chancellor Merz says Germany must once again become the leading military power in Europe. Do they understand in Berlin what 'again' means? Do they see where this may lead? Did World War II teach them nothing?"
"No other country on Earth but Ukraine bans a language by law. In Ukraine Russian is banned -- using it can mean prison. But the EU, which brags about European values, stays silent."
"One can only conclude that Nazism itself, and the flagrant violations of speech, information and faith, are the very essence of European values."
All this demagoguery about “Russia is not my enemy” will end very quickly when Russia turns your home into a pile of rubble, turns the places you love into graveyards, and Putin, with his idiotic smirk and chuckling, starts rambling about what an incredible threat your “fake country” posed and how he was “forced” to wage a war of annihilation against you to “correct the mistakes of history” inside his head.
They won’t ask whether you considered Russia an enemy or not. They won’t ask whether you wanted the war or not. They will call you a “Nazi” and commit the most insane war crimes with a profound sense of moral superiority and enjoyment.
You must think everyone else is stupid. Putin is the dictator of a totalitarian kleptocracy. He & you don’t hate the “decadent” West because its people are free. Too bad
The EU is rapidly becoming the Soviet Union its founders so despised (minus the free education, housing, healthcare and spaceprogram)
As the sham "Democracy" in Brussels loses economic, political and military influence, it will turn on its citizens pointing out the truth.
After Ukrainians sent their traitor president packing to Moscow, Russia invaded Ukraine starting with Crimea, after fomenting little green separatists in eastern Ukraine. Putin wants Ukraine under totalitarian control, a concept Ukrainians quite intentionally rejected.
In 2018 Russian-American journalist Vladimir Pozner said that NATO expansion in Ukraine is unacceptable to the Russians.
"There has to be a compromise where Ukraine, guaranteed, will not become a member of NATO"
No one within the western political establishment listened.......
