I am fortunate to have European hares very close - walking distance - to where I live. This one was from yesterday posing about 7 or 8 metres in front of me and totally unaware of my prescence. #hare#europoean hare
Obviously didn't do a lot of photography on this day (15th July) in previous years, so have had to go back to 2011 to find this image of a Blue tit. #tit#bluetit#bird
I was being greedy on 10th July 2014 - not one but two Little Owls. Again taken in my garden - not had them back since 2014 as they are nesting about 400 metres away at a neighbours house and box. #owl#littleowl
An image that I was lucky to be able to take in my garden on 9th July in 2014 when a Little Owl came face to face with a juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker. Two of my favourite birds on one photograph. #owl#littleowl#greatspottedwoodpecker
We saw this elk at the roadside on 8th July 2015 in Canada. It is neither legal or safe to approach too close to these animals but with a long lens I managed to get an image. Unfortunately too many people also stopoped and were getting too close, so time to get back into car.#elk
No image for "this day - different year" but just about to head off to Bempton Cliffs for a few dyas so I thought I would post an image of the bird I am planning on photographing when I get there - a Gannet taken on 28th June 2011. #gannet#rspb#bemptoncliffs
Today's photo - taken on 5th July 2017 - is another fox image taken with remote trigger and flash just a few hundred metres from home - but it was nearly midnight and I was asleep. All the hard work had been done over the previous days and weeks. #fox#remotetrigger
