Amazing to see the overwhelming and compelling evidence base for #CompassionateLeadership all in one place! We can feel that ‘command &control’ styles are ineffective and dangerous to patients/teams in the long run, but it’s great to have the research so clearly presented.
Getting lost is fun, staying lost is not. Thankfully there was just a bit of the former and none of the latter when I visited another amazing unknown gem of a walking trail thanks to @walkni#drumkeeraghforest
We are delighted to welcome back our Final year medical students who will be completing year 5 of our new C25 curriculum and are due to graduate in July 2025.
#LoveQUB
Huge🙏🏼 @QUBMedEd Acute Care Course team; academics, admin team, technicians, SPs, teachers & fab students (both nursing/medical) & @QUBInterSim team
No mean feat. Over >300 students, 352 sims-all done with a smile!
Last day on campus for our final year medics-Bon voyage 😊 🎉
This is disastrous, hideous news. NHS England are hacking back the mental health support for hospital staff. One doctor takes their life every three weeks. One nurse takes their life every single week. These numbers will now INCREASE. @VictoriaAtkins - please do the right thing.
Never ideal when the alarm clark starts with the number 4, but I made it in good spirits to the University of Manchester to meet some amazing medical leaders for speed coaching at the #FMLMconf24. Also looking forward to workshops from @_Cognitions and @ianatharthill
Avoid too many ‘shoulds’ and ‘musts’ by noticing them and deciding if you want to replace them with ‘could’ and ‘might’. Eg ‘I should be be better organised’, becomes ‘I could be better organised’. ‘I must (might) be vindicated’. Different feel that. #thinkingtraps
