BREAKING: 48% of all US homes for sale had been on the market for at least 60 days in August, the highest for any August since 2019.

The share of homes sitting on the market for 60+ days rose from 43% a year earlier and marked 5th straight monthly increase.

Furthermore, the percentage of homes sitting for at least 30 days jumped to 69% from 64% in 2023.

Overall, it took 37 days to find a buyer for an average home, 6 more days than a year ago.

Housing demand continues to slow.
