@TJA4Michigan Overall, it has felt like WM was not willing to expend political capital for anyone.
It also seemed pretty obvious that Howard should not have his sons on the team.
@educator4ever36 Not in education - I’m a tech guy.
Totally agree - the initial transition from analog to digital was much harder - saw it with our kids’ teachers. This was back in the day when many people still didn’t have PCs.
@TJA4Michigan And - it’s highly likely that this is what Harbaugh was asking for. He knew the NCAA didn’t have anything that would hold up in a court of law.
@TJA4Michigan This is why the Trinidad Chambliss scenario is so important for people to learn from - fight the NCAA’s arbitrary, inconsistent & capricious investigations & punishments in a court of law. Then, you can fight any allegations there rather than the corrupt, massively biased NCAA.
@dantypo@BuckSexton@Delta I’ve had numerous business trips f’d up - could care less.
Vacation - no way - especially on one of the big 3 - literally the reason I refuse to fly budget.
Honestly surprised - Delta has historically been better than United & American.
@kathydspears@milified Yes - there is almost no “bad” food - people just eat too much.
Unless you’re incredibly fair skinned or a ginger, stop fearing the sun!
@KeenanPeachy Funny thing is that you would have more of an argument against many kids back in the 60s & 70s, yet so many did, on one income.
And - no - it’s not because people were paid a lot better back then. All about expectations & what was valued.
@StephenFleming We all knew each other’s birth dates - we’re going out that night!
I have a friend with a 22 yr old daughter who still doesn’t have DL. It’s an essential part of maturing!
@JahangirAsgha10 From all your posts, your experience sounds just like ours. Our son rarely plays soccer now - mostly because he’s in an area where no one plays. Skis, hikes, bikes, runs marathons, basketball league, volleyball league.
@JahangirAsgha10 Another “dirty little secret” - other than the top tier club teams, most lower level club coaching is mediocre at best .
I saw far better coaching in little league baseball by dads who never played past high school.
@JahangirAsgha10 Even in today’s f’d up club scene, when there’s an exceptional rec playing kid, clubs hear about them and will sponsor them to get them on their top tier team.
It’s rare, because it’s rare - there really aren’t many exceptional athletes (by definition).
@coachhaines22 We asked our son, who was good, but certainly mot scholarship or D1 material, if he wanted to play college soccer - would obviously be a small school - he said no, there will always be ways to play, wherever I go, I’m focused on academics.
@neoavatara@iowahawkblog No - it all depends on how much you have - most of the conservative advice you see everywhere is for people who have well under $1M going into retirement.
Too many people think you have to switch to very conservative investments, which is really dumb if you have decent money.
