So many people think I am going to be the fun stealer (no you can't get the new car, yes you have to work more) but the reality is I'm usually the one pushing my clients to spend more.
ERs shoulder the lack of social safety nets in the U.S. The specialty is less and less medicine and increasingly just a catch-all for all sorts of issues that everyone else is able to ignore.

A few months ago I did something terrifyingly exciting: I hired an Associate Planner. I wanted to have a partner who could connect with younger clients, especially residents & fellows.
Today she gave a talk at the Women in Medicine Conference & I am so proud of her impact!
