That's the speculation that mostly helps with the ai adoption. And mostly I could agree. If I am doing ten times the average developer with ai, they can't match me manually. They'd also need that power boost. So if you slip someone who outperforms you even using ai will beat you to the game.

It's not in their best interests to go all out with ai. Behind the scenes they make money by building the infrastructure and resources others need to pull ahead while they play evrything safe. They'll always engineer models that perform just enough to keep them in the game but won't try to go all out trying to dominate.
