Listen carefully to Boss Toni's words here. What the Typhoid Mary of Chicago politics is saying is she will never break her faith in Electronic Monitoring (EM) and she will never support amending the SAFE-T Act, despite both failing Cook County's law-abiding residents.

Okay, fine. Let's look at some data.

The man to whom Preckwinkle refers, Lawrence Reed, had been arrested a whopping 72 times (15 convictions, eight for felony offenses) prior to allegedly setting fire to a woman on the CTA.

Reed was also supposed to be on EM at the time of the CTA attack.

If 72 prior arrests and 15 prior convictions isn't sufficient "data" to demonstrate the failure of EM and the need to amend the SAFE-T Act, what does?

Toni Preckwinkle’s failure in leadership & mismanagement of the county’s tax system has already cost local school districts over $120 million in unnecessary interest costs.

Now we learn Public Libraries across Cook County are being forced to cut programs, stop buying books & considering layoffs to stay afloat.

It’s a mess all around: some taxing bodies haven’t received the revenue they are owed by County, while others have been sent more tax dollars than they were supposed to receive. It’s a total disaster.

Preckwinkle continues to deflect blame: with no answers & no plans to fix the problems she created. We need change in Cook County government and we need it now.
