I did not—and do not—support the decision to postpone the budget resolution. I worked hard to get Leader Thune to agree to bring it up so we could move forward on the SAVE America Act, and I appreciate his willingness to do so.
I’m very disappointed we didn’t vote. We’ve talked enough. It’s time to stop talking and start voting.
I also voted NO to adjourn, and my NO vote is recorded in writing with the Senate clerk.
THEORY:
The reason we Olds don't give a crap about the food struggles of the Youngs, and the reason why the Youngs don't get why the Olds don't feel sorry for them, is as follows:
We Olds grew up eating Swanson TV Dinners and a bland, dried out pot roast and canned green beans on Sundays, so when we moved out of the house and had to live on ramen and microwave burritos for weeks at a time, it was no big deal.
The Youngs, OTOH, grew up in the Golden Age of take out of all kinds, with their parents buying high quality meals of all kinds of cuisines, and with all-natural cooking options of incredible quality from places like Whole Foods in abundance, so ramen and microwave burritos feel like a HUGE step down.
My theory. It could be right, it could be wrong, but it's mine.
Do you think he's ignoring it? Do you watch him everyday and see him fight for us? Do you think he can't do two things at once? What would you do to fix it? If prices aren't down enough are you voting for the dumocrats that caused the hight prices? You logic leads to voting for democrats! Think about it!
Lisa Murkowski voted to confirm Merrick Garland and Ketanji Brown Jackson.
Susan Collins voted to confirm Merrick Garland and Ketanji Brown Jackson.
Both of them just voted against the confirmation of Todd Blanche.
So sick of so called “Republicans” obstructing Trump while they were more than happy to wave Biden’s appointees through.
So useless.
Bill Maher ends his show with a brutal minute-long takedown of Anthony Fauci and the liberal elites who turned him into a self-aggrandizing celebrity.
The last line of the entire thing was pure cinema.
His audience burst out into a massive applause the moment they heard it.
MAHER: “But you have to try awfully hard not to notice how much Fauci is energized by being embraced by one particular cultural tribe.”
“It was Julia Roberts who was telling Fauci he was Jesus with a petri dish. Not Randy Quaid.”
“And that side likes to think of themselves as the purely ‘Science’ people, even though keeping kids out of school that long and traumatizing two-year-olds with masks wasn’t good science.”
“Fauci supported some strange policies for such an esteemed epidemiologist.”
“Natural immunity doesn’t count now? Meaning, even if you’ve had the disease, you still had to get the shot?”
“That sounds more like what Pfizer and Fauci’s celebrity friends wanted to hear.”
“He let this shit go to his head.”
“Turns out the really dangerous ‘intimate contact’ wasn’t shaking hands, it was kissing ass!”
[Laughter and applause]
Bill Maher absolutely unloads on Anthony Fauci after reading entries from his diary to the audience.
Maher couldn’t believe the level of “main character syndrome” coming from an 80-year-old Fauci writing about himself.
MAHER: “Have you read some of the shit in Fauci’s diary?”
“Last week I played a game here called, ‘Who said it: Fauci or Trump?’”
“Let’s play!”
“It is not hyperbole to say I am the most famous and talked about person in the country.”
“The nurses went absolutely wild to see me.”
“I am such a valued spokesperson and a good communicator.”
“One person said that Tyra Banks was sexy, but I was even more sexy than she was.”
“None of that is Trump. That’s all Fauci.”
“Writing to himself…at 80!”
“Why? So he can read it back when he’s 100 and remember what a hot piece of ass he was at 80?”
[Laughter and applause]
“Talk about main character syndrome!”
ANOTHER former NBA player, Royce White, has declared for the WNBA draft:
"I'm transgender. I'm a woman, so I'll be declaring for the WNBA draft in 2027 as well.”
Accusing people who suggest cooking more at home instead of
blowing $10,000 or more per year on unhealthy, overpriced take out food of being “out of touch” or “elitist” is hilarious. And telling young people take out food is a right and not to be resourceful doesn’t help them.
President Trump signed Senator John Kennedy’s Bill which stops sending money to DEAD people.
I can't believe a new law had to be created for this, but here we are.
🚨 BREAKING: Senate Majority Leader John Thune is going to bring a vote to the floor pushing the SAVE AMERICA ACT in RECONCILIATION — which only needs 50 votes + JD Vance
IT'S TIME!
SEN. JOHN KENNEDY: "If we do reconciliation, we don't need any Democratic votes, we do have to get the permission of the parliamentarian, but there's a way to craft a voter integrity bill, the so-called SAVE Act, that I believe can pass muster with the parliamentarian."
"But we don't know unless we TRY!"
"Now, Senator Thune, to his credit, is going to bring that to a vote on the floor."
"We're going to have a chance to do what we call 'get on the bill.' I'm obviously going to vote YES."
"I think all Democrats will vote NO. I don't know how many Republicans will vote no, but probably some will."
🚨 IT'S OFFICIAL: The WNBA is stunned after former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom files to participate in the WNBA draft next year, and play in the league against women — because the league REFUSES to define "woman"
He'd instantly be the most dominant player:
Height: 6 foot 10
Weight: 250 pounds
The WNBA would have to define "WOMAN" under the biological definition to block Enes Freedom from playing, and effectively ABOLISH their inclusion policies
This is a masterclass move! 🤣🤣🤣
After careful consideration and reviewing the current eligibility guidelines,
I’m officially declaring myself a @WNBA prospect.
If simply declaring who you are is all that’s required, then I meet every single requirement necessary to compete in the WNBA.
My team and I have carefully examined the WNBA’s eligibility criteria and governing framework surrounding self-identification and inclusion. Based on the current guidelines, I can and am officially declaring my eligibility for the upcoming WNBA draft in April 2027.
I know my presence on the court will stir up strong opinions.
I am definitely not here to mock, make fun of, or disrespect any community or personal choices.
I’m simply asking that the current rules be applied equally to everyone — the rules that represent the very values many WNBA players and coaches have publicly advocated for.
My team and I are prepared to ensure these guidelines are applied equally, consistently, and without exception, and I look forward to the #WNBA honoring its stated principles.
See you at training camp.
