@thehill Congress should do something positive like banning supplemental Medicare advertising! Promising free stuff by limiting access to docs in THEIR network only! It's a con job. Once you choose supplemental you can NEVER go back to original Medicare. I used to like Joe Namath.
@billoakes88@thehill Multi billionaires will keep a couple of billion for themselves and their spouse, give a billon to each of their kids, and put the rest into their foundations. What goes into their foundations, will be off the tax rolls FOREVER, yet their family will still control this wealth.
@thehill This will cost $500MM to $1T. Hard to see how this gets recouped in one year. I understood the gimmickry when they moved cap up for two years and added two years on the back end to recoup first two year's tax break. If it passes, house prices will accelerate. Stupid, stupid!!!
@jbartash@MarketWatch The career of a criminal has gotten more profitable and less risky. Hence, many more have taken that job. However, the Labor Department doesn't consider them as employed.
@PattyMurray so if I make $253k, I get assistance for child care from the government? And Patty, you are proud of that? Let's get real and get some people representing us who have a clue. This is no safety net, it is stupidity.
@amyklobuchar Except, Amy, inflation has increased more than wages so people have fallen behind. It's easy to paint a rosy picture when you select the facts.
@politicongress@politico They are discussion how to avoid a CBO scoring of their bill because they know it won't look good. The is similar to scoring of Obama Care which never got updated before vote. Complete irresponsibility.
@thehill SALT for 9 years will cost a trillion dollars. With budgetary tricks, maybe they will find a way...down the road...to "pay for" it. However, in the meantime, money will have to be borrowed or printed to keep things afloat. 1 TRILLION!!!!!!
@usatodayDC Total insanity. Restoring SALT will immediately increase house prices fueling further inflation. Is that what we need? Higher house prices? C'mon Man.
@THC4U2C@POTUS Just like Europe. Slow growth, slow employment, dependent society. What is a fair share? 40% from the top 1% isn't enough? "More" is not a percent. Success should not be punished. All people should pay some tax because almost 50% pay nothing. Shouldn't they have a "share" too?
@amyklobuchar Yes and rent is up 20% in most cities since last year, gas is up 57% since Joe took office and food prices are up 15%. I'd say an average of a 6% increase since 2015 isn't bad. But the government should be able to negotiate drug prices. Even Trump was all about that.
