1950 – Travelled to Rome for the Holy Year; entered Mount St Bernard Abbey, England, as an oblate.

Bl. Cyprian Michael Iwene Tansi was beatified on 22 March 1998 in Onitsha, Nigeria, by Pope John Paul II during his pastoral visit to Nigeria.

We must act now to ensure that all victims are released safely and unharmed, and to continue confronting decisively this persistent crisis of insecurity in our nation. Enough is enough.
