Langford taxpayers still pay for it either way, however now the CRD will own the building for the next 25 years and undoubtedly pass on additional administrative costs.

It’s simply poor leadership from current Langford council.

Another result of the current councils decision to not fully fund the RCMP and instead increase funding to the city’s communications department. Remember this in October 2026.

I received an email from the City of Langford on April 12, 2024 stating that they wouldn’t be responding to questions on the 2024 budget because it was already approved on March 4, 2024 even though Council had not voted on it.
