@Adam_Stirling No surprise! It’s just another example that shows they will say and do anything except listen to the public. They all need to go in the next election!
@Adam_Stirling Perhaps , but remember it’s an election year and these politicians will do and say anything to get re-elected. And if they do they will undoubtedly go back to making their poor and costly decisions.
@Adam_Stirling So why did the CRD need to get involved?
Langford taxpayers still pay for it either way, however now the CRD will own the building for the next 25 years and undoubtedly pass on additional administrative costs.
It’s simply poor leadership from current Langford council.
@Adam_Stirling@WestshoreRCMP The report also shows a significant increase in property crime and drug offences in Langford. Another result of the current councils decision to not fully fund the RCMP and instead increase funding to the city’s communications department. Remember this in October 2026.
@Adam_Stirling Thank you Adam for everything you have done to help Charleigh Pollock!!!
I sincerely believe that your coverage on this topic was instrumental in the government changing their decision and restoring funding for Charleigh’s medication.
Keep up the great work!
@Adam_Stirling I made a comment about the slogan during the 2024 budget process when they raised property taxes by an “Epic” 15.63%!
The sign was painted over shortly after that.
@Adam_Stirling They could have used the extra $118K they added to the communications budget for media releases (aka spin doctoring bad decisions) to help fund the additional RCMP position.

@Adam_Stirling I suspect that this is all a distraction so that people are not talking about their proposal to purchase the Westhills recreation center that is being operated by the Y.
@Adam_Stirling While I appreciate most of the proposed changes, I can’t help but wonder why they didn’t use our neighbouring cities in the CRD as comparables for the rates… Other than the amount allowable would be less if they did.
@Adam_Stirling Somebody should show Langford council this AI rendering before they vote to implement a fancy new (and expensive) AI program based on Yacucha’s recent “education” at the Las Vegas AI conference.
@Adam_Stirling So the City implemented improvements to the records management in 2023 and now they say they need $10 per FOI request because they can’t handle 3 requests a week. Wow, that speaks volumes!
@Adam_Stirling Looks like someone was using a slide from another presentation (or template) and forgot to change the wording in the boxes.
Sounds about right for this Council.
@Adam_Stirling Seems to be their normal operating procedure.
I received an email from the City of Langford on April 12, 2024 stating that they wouldn’t be responding to questions on the 2024 budget because it was already approved on March 4, 2024 even though Council had not voted on it.
