I spend most of my day checking X to see the new adventures and comments from @FreddyLA7 about this great country we live in. What an amazing experience for him and his buddies. Just fantastic.
I really enjoy watching Brunson play basketball. But this? This is hard to teach. The game is the game (or your job is you job), its costs $0 to be a good person. Stellar, Jalen. Thank you.
Jalen Brunson post Game 4: "Before we start…
My thoughts & prayers are with a friend of mine I got to meet last week. Jonathan from North Carolina. From Make a Wish Foundation
They asked me to make a video. But something told me to Facetime…
I got the pleasure to do so…Quick call but well worth it.
My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family…
May God rest his soul"
(Reporter asks question)
Jalen (can't answer): "Sorry…"
@Brad_Shepard Wore my Wes Rucker shirt at the ballpark last week. I didn’t know him like you did, obviously - but man alive did I miss him during baseball season. Beautiful family.
Little Rock fan Kale Twombly flew into Montgomery, caught an Uber to Troy and spent the weekend cheering on his team from the outfield.
Throughout the weekend, Troy fans noticed him in the outfield and made sure Kale was taken care of. They gave him rides back to his hotel after the games, fed him, checked on him and really treated him like one of their own.
On Sunday, Kale couldn’t find an Uber back to Montgomery to catch his flight. (Also couldn’t get a rental) Through the friends he made over the weekend, a Facebook post caught the attention of Executive Associate Director of Athletics, Adam Prendergast. The post asked if someone would be kind enough to drive Kale from Troy to MGM to catch his flight. Adam quickly stepped up and Kale made it back to the airport.
Kale left with an official game ball from the weekend and a lot of great memories!

@CoachBeede I am always sure to tell my son, “I’m proud of you.” Maybe not the exact phrase - but in some form or fashion. I also remind him - it’s the hardest and best game in the world. What he’s doing is hard. Tomorrow is another day!
I read this and said “oh no” out loud. I never met Wes, only interacted with him online. Tweeted at him that I almost spoke once, and I think he responded and said I should have. What a horrible tragedy. Praying for his family and friends. May God provide them comfort and peace.
I lost a brother today.
I lost a brother who I know—beyond the shadow of a doubt—would drop everything and help me. Thing with Wes was, he’d do that for you, too. That’s who he was. He cared. About his beautiful family most of all.
Pray for them.
I keep hoping to wake up.
Hey Auburn, you dropped something…
