@NiohBerg Young woman like Saghar were Iran's future. Whatever Iran's future, it will be diminished by her death and of countless thousands like her. Iranians should choose a different path, a path that allows it's young to live and to thrive, be happy and contribute to the World.
@irelandbattles A brave man, who with Arnold - Who'd worked heroically to get his force to Quebec - launched a two pronged attack. Arnold was badly wounded, Montgomery lost his life. The attack failed. Montgomery died bravely, I'm glad his sacrifice is remembered. His widow lived on many years.
@PaulEmbery He should have said, "Now my goodfellow, we can't be having any mischief here, so, if you would be a good chap and come with me. They'll be a nice cup of tea and biscuit down at the station."
@CharlesEsdaile I remember that the great French soldier Marshal Jean Lannes was a fatal casualty in that terrible battle. Some years ago went to visit the Pantheon to pay respects at his coffin.
@Nervana_1@NadiaMuradBasee The Canadian govt will discover that the depths of the well of cowardice, that it will have to sink, to pacify it's islamists, will never be deep enough.
@Shoshana51728 The UK Govt pretty much reversed its position vis-a-vis the Jewish population in Palestine, with it's 1939 white paper - just at the worst possible time. Following the war the UK Labour Govt was largely hostile to a potential Jewish state.
@kelvmackenzie Most C of E clerics I've met are white. I assume that they will start "deconstructing" themselves. Perhaps the Archbishop of Canterbury could take a lead?
@griptmedia I guess his position is: because of his access to public funds and resources, he is free to burnish his liberal credentials by virtue signalling, at no personal cost; whereas the plebs will have to deal with all the costs and consequences - and serves them bloody right!
@GoodwinMJ So much, 'for taking back control'! What a joke. If Govt have given up what is a pretty important obligation in defending the borders, what other obligations are they giving up on?
@LizaRosen0000 I remember hearing Arab broadcasts from Egypt and other Arab states, in the run up to the 6 day war - the so called 'waiting period', they were working themselves up into a state of frenzy about how they were soon to destroy Israel. Events didn't go for them as they had hoped.
