Jones missed most of last season with a back issue that he said included a portion of his vertebrae breaking off and winding up a nerve. He was emotional about being able to back on the field. Said injury was a “blessing” and gave him more appreciation for the game.
Roger Goodell on the potential for Charlote getting a Super Bowl: "I think if that growth continues (in city) that is probably somewhere down the line."

Panthers owner David Tepper hopes that downtown will develop business-wise around the new stadium renovations, including the new 4,400-seat entertainment center that will be built. Construction on that center (which will host 80-100 concerts per year) starts after the season.
