Yo @AUStinAirport workers, y’all need to figure out how NOT to step all over each other when talking on the PA. We can’t hear a dang thing… just the Charlie Brown school teacher noise x100. #clearAChannel#needADispatcher
By 9:30am, my smart watch told me that I had already filled all my exercise rings and that I recorded noise levels above 90 decibels four separate times.
Means only one thing: Convocation day at #ASUEngineering 🎓

@pickover 1. Re3. Forces the knight to move to one of six squares next turn.
1… Ng3 or Nf4 or Nc3 are immediate captures.
1… Nc1 is met by 2. Rc3 forking king and rook.
1… Ng1 keeps the knight but 2. Rc3 leads to mate.
1… Nd4 2.Rc3+ and when the king moves away 3.Kd4 captures.

Fantastic blog post by @JoshWComeau.
A very thoughtful reaction to the mostly false news that front end developers will be pushed to the fringe as tools like GPT-4 become more prevalent in our world.

@fklux@InTheLoop_WP Interesting. Is this more efficient than the more traditional junction table approach within https://t.co/qQ5LXxBGoF ?
As far as I know, the efficiencies found within some of the queries prescribed here are top notch…
Hey @w3c! Your link checker service is outstanding. Fast, free and super useful.
But one thing it lacks is a link back to the URL which contained the broken link. That makes it REALLY hard to actually address the problem. 😃
@WordCampPHX I always look forward to connecting names from Slack and other communities with actual human faces. 👨🏫
Also really looking forward to hearing from engineers smarter than I am who tackle HUGE WP problems daily. Thanks in advance for all the upcoming knowledge bombs!
With WordCamp Phoenix happening right around the corner (March 24-25), what is everyone looking forward to most? Drop your replies 👇👇👇

Hey #WordPress. Struggling with something. If blocks are required to be in plugins, why should we register patterns (that require those blocks) back in the theme?
Wouldn't it make more sense if the patterns and the blocks were registered in the same place?
I’m wondering if @wpengine would care to comment on this.
Indeed, it might not immediately make the site faster, but there are performance gains elsewhere and it makes a difference in terms of the site size if you have portability concerns.
🔥 🎬: If you find yourself deleting revisions from your WordPress database because your #WordPress host is telling you it will make your site faster, guess what...
You've found yourself a host who doesn't understand how to make databases fast 😉.

Lots of shared learning. And some shared pain points as well. Was a fun conversation. Hopefully the first of many with some of our other High Ed Web counterparts!
For those working in WP 6.1 with blocks powered by @wp_acf, this might be of interest.
A utility function to grab values from the new block.json|supports|spacing controls. Generates a string that can be included in an inline style declaration.
