I am delighted and proud to see that Gareth Hopkins, our @ForestryComm Apprenticeship Programme Manager, has been awarded a MBE in the New Year Honours 2025 for services to forestry. He's led the amazing degree level Professional Forester Apprenticeship with @UoCNSF and @TheICF
@ECB_cricket I can't be the only person who finds this strange. Tier 1 teams may only get one game (compared to 14 group matches for the men in the equivalent competition) and the final is on the same day as England play West Indies T20 excluding them from the domestic games!
At @WestonbirtArb with my @ForestryComm Learning team. I started work here as a student in the summer of 1983 and it's always a pleasure to have an excuse to return
@quine_chris@Forest_Research@RoyalSocEd@TheICF Back in the mid 1980’s I gave a talk on the @ForestryComm to a Sorority group. I recall Mr Holmes’ sister introducing herself to me afterwards (and me desperately trying to recall if I’d said anything that might get reported back to the DG!)
We're really pleased to welcome our new #FutureForesters, starting out on the three-year Professional Forester Apprenticeship with us and our partners @TheICF & @CumbriaUni.
We can't wait to hear more about their exciting career journey!
