The bit in David Hopkinson’s interview that really got me was when he explained Eddie came to him and said the club needed a new voice.

“Please look for my replacement. But until then I’m here giving 100 per cent.”

That tells you everything you need to know about Eddie. Even when he believed his time was up, his only concern was what was best for Newcastle. No ego. No self-preservation. Just complete selflessness and professionalism right to the very end.

It’s gutting to hear he’s in a bad way. I’d love to see some recognition for him from the supporters & @worflags. Perhaps at the Bournemouth home game. He deserves a send off.

Thank you for five years of amazing memories, ambition and commitment. Our whole fanbase is so proud to have had you as our manager.

So many unforgettable moments, especially that day in March 2025, when you were the man to do what so many before were unable to. So many greats have tried but you were the one. You gave us the greatest day of our lives and that is something that we will always remember you for.

Of course there are so many more, reaching the 2023 League Cup Final, Champions League nights under the lights at SJP and all of the unbelievable trips around Europe. It has been an amazing journey and we can’t thank you enough for everything.

Hope to see you again soon, once a Geordie always a Geordie!

A career politician who has never worked on a farm and has never run a business in her entire life.

As Clarkson rightly said, putting Angela Eagle in charge of the countryside is like putting Alan Carr in charge of the British Army!

Our Westminster elite are actively crushing British agriculture with Net Zero red tape, insane energy bills, and family farm taxes. They would rather import cheap foreign produce than protect the hardworking British families who keep this country fed.

How can a politician with zero real world farming or business experience dictate the future of our rural economy?

I like Sarah, but this is the kind of myopia that's plagued the middle class since the 2000s.

I had family and friends in the trades when Blair chose to give the accession countries unlimited access to Britain in 2004.

Their livelihoods were rapidly impacted.

The middle classes - who had always hated the 'white van man' trades anyway - crowed and crowed about how shit you must be if someone could come from another country and beat you in the market.

But they refused to even begin to look at what was happening. Groups of men living in cramped housing for a year or two - so they could undercut Brits, because their goal was to rapidly save cash to go and create a life in their much cheaper homeland.

British men and women were not playing on the same field. And they were mocked as their businesses and futures were harmed.

This excellent Polish builder has stayed here and made a success of things. Lovely for him. Lovely for Sarah, who got a cheaper servant class. And it sounds like he's good for society in general.

But he was part of a wave of immigration that was really shit for lots of Brits - most of whom have since been called 'far right' for daring to notice the asymmetry of immigration impact.

More than 20 years on, and the wilfully blind dogma has only grown worse. Now this post ignores the very obvious social, economic and cultural impacts of even greater influxes of people from more alien and violent cultures.

I honestly don't know what we do when people refuse to see the picture in the round. Do we have to wait for a civil war before they'll acknowledge issues?

🚨MUSLIM GANG BREAKS INTO PROPERTY TO TRY AND GET TO DAUGHTER

This is absolutely terrifying.

In Huddersfield a gang of 5 men led by Rayhaan Saleem, 19, started breaking into a property when they realised just a girl and her mum were home

The mum rang police who told her to barricade herself and her daughter in a room which they luckily managed to do

The police arrived within minutes and arrested the men at the scene finding a machete as well

This all happened in the early hours of the morning

The attack happened in May but they've just been sentenced this week, the leader, Saleem has been sentenced to just 26 months in a young offenders institute!

Will the descendants of Jewish families who fled Kemalist policies of forced assimilation be given compensation?

Will the Hagia Sophia be returned the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, from whom it was stolen?

Will there be a truth & reconciliation project recognizing the millions of slaves taken & trafficked by the Ottoman Empire, particularly the countless boys kidnapped from Balkan Christian families for forced military service?

Will compensation be given to Christians for the hundred of Churches and monasteries destroyed?

The possibilities for Turkish decolonization are endless.
