Answering an ad for 'ladies interested in playing football' led to a lifelong passion for Carol Waller - NZ's first women's goalkeeper and then a prominent figure in the game worldwide. Joan Grey writes. https://t.co/aAZbU5vBzS
.@BrendonEgan just letting you know this isnβt quite correct - the Volleyball National League (NVL) which began last year with four teams for men and women using te reo naming conventions.

@NoelBarkley@AndrewGourdie Football people: The passion of the game is unrivalled and the emotion of the fans make it what it is.
Also football people: you canβt show any passion or emotion in this situation or that situation π
Friday marked @Mark_Casson95βs last day with @NRF_Football.
Thanks for your energy and passion since joining Auckland Football. Good luck with your next chapter - on and off the field.
To @TerryHobin,
What a remarkable shift you have put in.
Our organisation, our clubs and me personally have been incredibly fortunate to have had you working tirelessly alongside us for the good of football.
The game in our region is truly indebted to you.
Thank you.

This is a fantastic initiative between 2 clubs with progressive leadership, exploring a better and more efficient model of delivery for our game.
Congrats to both @ESAFC & @FenciblesUtdAFC π

@SamWilkoCoach You are spot on, weβre in the process of educating clubs & Player Welfare team of NZF are part of this along with oursleves via NZF & licensing
Down the track, from my perspective, Licensed environments, having demonstrated their quality throughout the pathway, will be empowered
@SamWilkoCoach Not sure I see the issue in asking for information from across all 4 corners of player development - including physcial - to help validate an opinion on whatβs best for a given player.
The PHV calculation isnβt a sole determining factor, but it helps paint a full picture.
Over 150 participants in the first ever @NZ_Football Community Coaching workshop conducted online led by @NFF_Football staff Korouch Monsef & Shane Verma. Great work guys π
@AndrewGourdie@Sherlock_NZ@JimKayes@SteKNZ that takes understanding and buy in from media in acknowledging the fact that stretching to try and do it all for everyone externally as well might not possible currently. Interesting moment for the game.
@AndrewGourdie@Sherlock_NZ@JimKayes@SteKNZ No, I mean football in NZ.
The NZ refreshed strat plan demonstrates this well. The game, and the money that feeds it, is delivered across multiple tiers. Under the strat plan the opportunity exists for reviewing new ways of doing things because the system is light on resource.
@AndrewGourdie@Sherlock_NZ@JimKayes@SteKNZ Cost element of something like that would mean a different use of money we currently use -
possibly doing less in other areas that we have historically done.
ie do you REALLY need all of the daily media opportunities when teams are in camp outside of big events?
@AndrewGourdie@Sherlock_NZ@JimKayes@SteKNZ Channel resource to link with key players. Educate/train them in social content production, link with clubs & their production teams to tap in to their capability so as not to duplicate - also opens up market here for jersey sales. NZ should be swimming in Burnley and PSV shirts.
