3 takeaways from the game, presented by @dotvegasinc

1) Top line was on another level tonight. They did this to open last year too. When Barbashev, Eichel, and Stone are cooking early in the season, the points pour in. Eichel and Stone are now #1 and #2 for the league lead in points.
2) Mitch Marner’s first highlight reel moment arrived. That goal was gorgeous.
3) VGK scored 6 so it’s hard to get too excited about the goalie, but that was Adin Hill’s best game of the year and easily VGK’s best goalie performance so far.

3 takeaways from the game, presented by @dotvegasinc

1) The payback for #NotAMajor continues for VGK as it still appears that no matter what it looks like, not matter what is happening, VGK will always come out on top in that building.
2) Squeaking out a win doesn’t cover up some issues the Golden Knights are experiencing. Tonight’s biggest problem was their intensity level at both blue lines, along the boards, and on the walls. Lost way too many battles and it should have cost them the game.
3) Alex. Nedelkovic.

"Take care of the puck better. Cost us 2 maybe 3 goals. That's regular season where people are hunting you harder. The breakdowns are very correctable." -Bruce Cassidy
