A rich bloke who couldn't knock the skin off a rice pudding, says we should do our duty and die, to protect a status quo that delivers him fine wine, and the rest of the country bills they can't afford to pay.
There will never be a mandatory British digital ID or 'Britcard' - if millions of us say NO.
It's that simple.

We will fight this tooth + nail - and we'll win.
People shouldn’t be turned into criminals just because they can’t have a digital ID, or choose not to.
We will fight tooth and nail to oppose these plans for a mandatory Digital ID.
Digital ID was the first step the Chinese Communist Party took in building their social credit system.
Next they link your ID to CBDCs and social credit scores.
This is how totalitarian states destroy your freedom.
Scan your ID for petrol, not enough carbon credits on your account.
Want a McDonald's just scan your ID sir, sorry you can't have meat this week, you've had your allowance, think of the environment!
Want to open a bank account or claim benefits, ID please, sorry you have a marker here that you posted a bad tweet 10 years ago.
Watch it link with facial recognition, watch how they cross reference who you speak to and hang out with.
This has extreme control and abuse written all over it
🚨BREAKING🚨
Keir Starmer to announce Orwellian mandatory digital ID for all UK adults
"Plans for a mandatory digital ID would make us all reliant on a digital pass to go about our daily lives, turning us into a checkpoint society that is wholly unBritish.
Digital IDs would do absolutely nothing to deter small boats but would make Britain less free, creating a domestic mass surveillance infrastructure that will likely sprawl from citizenship to benefits, tax, health, possibly even internet data and more.
Incredibly sensitive information about each and every one of us would be hoarded by the state and vulnerable to cyber attacks.
Starmer has no mandate to force the population to carry digital IDs and millions of us will simply not do it.
The cost to the public purse will likely run into the billions, much like Blair's failed scheme, but the cost to our freedoms would be even more serious.
He is making an enormous mistake and should drop the plans sooner rather than later."

@liamgallagher Liam, please can you say something biblical to cheer up my dear friend Sarah? She’s having a really tough time at the moment.
Would be a lovely surprise for her. Many thanks!
There’s something distinctly evil about this.
The normalisation of bug-eating goes far beyond the climate change narrative, to me, it taps into class dynamics and the preservation of a peasant underclass.
Across the world, cultures that eat insects typically do so under conditions of extreme poverty, or because their ruling class has conditioned them to accept it.
Those at the top of the hierarchy may frame it as being “for the greater good” or a “necessary sacrifice for the planet” — but make no mistake, this is about control.
It’s about keeping the lower classes in their place.
Do you honestly believe Tony Blair would tuck into a maggot burger to “do his bit”?
It’s no contest. The most dishonest politician of my lifetime. Much, much worse than Johnson.
The liberal media have destroyed any remaining credibility after championing this guy as a pillar of morality.
I’ve never met someone who lies this much.
