Some of the shows on during that time had a greater sense of what it meant to entertain. To feature characters or shows that were, yes, intriguing. Moonlighting is one of those shows, and I'm glad I've finally got a chance to be entertained.

Something else I love about it? It takes me back. To when you couldn't watch a TV show when you wanted. When you had to catch it when it aired or you missed it. When you earmarked pages of the TV Guide so you wouldn't forget.

All this to say I'm only four episodes in and I love this show. It has the heartbeat of a Howard Hawks film and the brass section of a Tracy-Hepburn pairing. I know things will get more fantastical in later seasons, and I'm all for that.

Fast forward to about a year ago when I began to read about the show streaming. Again, I was intrigued. This seemed like something I wanted to happen. And then last month it did. And I started watching from the beginning, like you do.

I was 3 when the pilot for Moonlighting first aired. When I got a little older I remember being intrigued by this TV show that didn't exactly fit the mold of other shows. It wasn't a sitcom, but it wasn't Dynasty either.

And then it disappeared.
