Modern military pilots especially in high performance fighters like the F18 now generally log far more simulator time than actual in the Jet flight hours compared to training in past decades. Brings up the idea …insufficient flight hours killing the edge. Not saying that is what happened her but rimrock low level routes like VR-1355 are demanding as hell
