@_LFCLOYAL_ The sheer amount of money in the league is hitting from both sides. It's a sellers market. They know the big clubs will pay it and the smaller clubs are under less pressure to sell so they can quote fuck off prices.
@NoushardMUFC He's worth 85m if anyone is willing to pay that amount. West Ham feel they can hold out for that amount or close to it. Value is what someone is willing to pay not a mathematical formula.
@liverpxxl9 I don't think having Jacquet(or Leoni) as first choice alongside Virg is the end of the world. Again depth is going to be an issue. Gomez will surely stay now and probably Endo too. Maybe we'll look at an experienced rotation option, but don't ask me for a name!
@LFCApproved Can you really see us ending up with Virgil and 3 with no PL experience as our only cb back options and 1 of them as LB cover as well. I'm hoping Ibou stays, but if he doesn't surely Gomez will.
@TheKopoholic@TheAthleticFC The level of criticism may have been unfair but can't really say he was singled out when basically every one of them got slaughtered regularly.
@RamboFYI Unworkable. You're essentially blocking teams from higher spending leagues from entering, so outside the Champions league places you have to try get into Europe without signings and somehow compete in the league to get the place?
@lfc_fan_view It's just a quest to find reasons to criticise the man, fake outrage by some large shitbag accounts and amplified by fools in their comments.
@Corballyred Wrong with the Szobo comparison. Love Dom but tempo control and judgement on slow down or speed up is a weakness and it's prob Whartons best attribute. He has a great passing range but needs to set himself, Whartons quick release or first time passes is what we lack without Trent
Beforehand: Slot's gonna make it all about him, he's a narcissist with a massive ego, they'd better not give him a mic!!
Afterwards: How dare Slot step back and let Mo and Robbo have the spotlight, he's not involved enough, why didn't he make a speech??
You all sound mental.
@LFCApproved We're not all happy about it. It's not going to have the desired effect and even if you think it will why could it not have waited until the season was done. Imagine the biggest player of another club coming out like that, they'd rightly be a laughing stock.
@212Ynwa@AnfieldSector I fully agree. Really, its the major doubt I have with him. More firepower and the knock on improvements in possession should help us kill games quicker and more often, but if we remain as passive and easy to play through the tight games won't go our way.
@q_mxrv@AnfieldSector Not at all. Slots obviously staying, the lack of interest in Xabi made that clear. So a highly regarded coach coming is surely a positive, as with anything that might improve our chances of success.
@JDoeLFC@AnfieldSector Genuinely curious, in what way have they been awful? Only 4 goals conceded from set pieces all season which is the best in the league.
@PeteKopite They will have known the squad was short/unbalanced coming into the season. Banked on Salah being Salah and Isak having a much bigger impact to get us through. It didn't work out at all. Ultimately they must think with squad they want in place, Slot is capable of success(again)
@AnfieldEdition Not a chance. I'm not one that thinks we need signings to cover injuries but with that outcome we'd start the season with Gapko, Isak, Rio and Diomande as forwards. We need a top level replacement for Mo and a replacement for Chiesa that's a legit option.
