I started this account on Twitter back in 2009 to correspond with my blog Stigmanomore. I never even posted on it due to working and life being busier back then. Now that I'm retired and all the kids are grown, I've decided to get back to advocating about the issues surrounding Mental Health 💚
On World Suicide Prevention Day, let’s take the opportunity to spread hope and remind one another of the power of connection and being heard.
Asking someone how they’re really doing — and being ready to truly listen — can save a life.
Today, we’re sharing words from people in the NAMI community with lived experience of suicidal thoughts or suicide attempts. Their experiences are different, but their words remind us of the power of hope, connection, and support.
If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available. Swipe to explore their words of hope, and find more resources at https://t.co/UEQ9BEmF6a.

I have wanted to see a program like this in our schools for so long. I hope our education system incorporates it.

#LindsayClancy search for Ketamine and other treatments just proves she was looking for ways to improve her Mental Health conditions. I learned doing walks for the AFSP that Ketamine was a major breakthrough in stopping Suicidal Thoughts and treating Treatment Resistant Depression. This treatment should be discussed with thier mental heath care providers if they are not having any improvements or adverse side effects with traditional medications.

A great Channel 5 Editorial on the Lindsay Clancy trial and how Social Media has been behaving so inhumane, especially towards Patrick Clancy. It was not Patrick's fault. He put all his trust in these doctors, which we all do. All of these Doctors failed Lindsay, especially McClean hospital. And in the end, the worst part of it all, they failed those 3 Beautiful children. #lindsayclancy #Patrickclancy #wcvb #editorial
I just learned about this organization to help support Families struggling with Mental Illness created by #PatrickClancy and his sisters in memory of Cora, Dawson and Callan. I wish the media would share this. It’s amazing how Patrick is taking this tragedy and trying to make some good out of it. They have built a beautiful playground in Duxbury in memory of the children too. I’ll have to visit there sometime. If you want to you can get involved as a volunteer or ambassador. You can also donate online to help support this cause. #LindsayClancy

Today, we’re taking the opportunity to raise awareness about schizophrenia and challenge common misconceptions about this serious mental illness.
Schizophrenia can manifest differently in every person and can be difficult to diagnose. With the right treatment and support, most people with schizophrenia can manage their symptoms and lead meaningful, full lives. 💙

Dr Josef Witt-Doerring explains how, in his opinion, the multiple medications prescribed to #lindsayclancy brought on her homicidal/suicidal ideations.
Men’s mental health is deeply important. Too many men carry silent pain, believing they must suffer alone. Society has long told them vulnerability makes them weak and they must “man up” and push through. However, the truth is struggling doesn’t diminish your masculinity.
You’re allowed to feel overwhelmed anxious or broken. You deserve care understanding and support just like anyone else.
To every man reading this: your feelings are valid your pain is real and reaching out is one of the strongest things you can do.
Let’s change the conversation. Let’s create a world where men don’t have to hide their struggles. Check on your brothers fathers and friends. Listen without judgement. And if you’re hurting please know it’s okay to speak up. Help is available and you’re worth it. 💜
