This week is Small Business Week, Canada’s largest celebration of small businesses. Calgary has been through some tough times, but we are resilient and we have a lot of positive things going on in our city (thread 👇).

@gccarra You know what he meant. How about this, why can’t you keep our pool open? The poorest people in our community are being hurt the most by your government’s cuts and tax increases. Why does business take precedent over citizens wellbeing?
TONIGHT we will be presenting at the @icacalgary to discuss Calgary's flood risk and the upstream mitigation projects that will protect us. Open to public. Meeting at 7pm. Community hall 1740 24 Ave SE. @cityofcalgary representative will also be in attendance for Q&A.
@660NEWS I don’t understand why the councilors are being so evasive about the tax shift. It’s a good idea, there is lots of evidence to back up the idea, yet councilors don’t respond to questions about it. I just want to help on explaining it to my neighbors #yyccc#yyctaxshift
@gccarra I’m on your side. Here is a question then: Can you tell me what you are doing to ensure that Ward 9 residents have correct information about the tax shift?
@gccarra the Inglewood/Ramsay community is talking Tax Shift and there are a lot of people being convinced to vote you out in 2021. You need to come explain it better here. Sentiment is very bad.
@ABCNetwork better try to get some executives on Rogan’s podcast to explain why they fired Rosanne to save their network, because this shit is brutal. ABC are the worst assholes in America.
@AleafiaHealth@610CKTB@ShelbyAKnox @NWPB @TimDenis1 Ask them about the ethics of working with Julian Fantino. He has called for the abolition of The Charter of Rights and Freedoms. He has said Cannabis has no medical value and is equivalent of murder. He is a morally bankrupt man, just like Aleafia.
@AGLC The AGLC is an organization that should be investigated for colluding with casinos and lottery companies to harm Canadians. They have no right to be commenting on public safety at all.
@AirbnbHelp hello, hypothetically, if a criminal signed up for your service to become a host and then used your service to lure people to a property and then commit a crime against them, would Airbnb offer assistance to the guests/victims?
@AirbnbHelp Thank you. So based on the TOS, if a sex offender were to use your service as a way to lure people to a location, then enter the location and rape a guest, Airbnb would deny any and all responsibility?
