@rhipratchett My favourite author, the only person who’s books I can read and re-read time and time again. Not being able to do so with others is likely a fault of mine not other authors. Loved his books, always made me laugh, and provided an escape from some of the harsher realities of life.
@Jerrybraden92@BonJovi@jonbonjovi@dbdavidbryan@TheRealSambora Not a favourite album but still had some nice tracks, TAT touched me. Remember reading the liner and being shocked at the lack of songs Richie had a writing credit on, don’t think he was shown as producer either (may be wrong on that) thought at the time it was worrying.
@mitchlafon Agree with you; been a fan for 35+ years, seen some amazing shows and will always support them, but those are my go to albums. Like the Crush, HAND, OWN, Bounce eras as well but you can’t beat those albums in my opinion.
@ShakeShakti@YouTube The show most die hard fans would’ve loved to have been at, amazing concert with an appearance by Jimmy Page as well. Why this gig has not been officially released is beyond me, when it is requested time and time again by the older fans! Would’ve been perfect for the 40 years.
@Jerrybraden92@BonJovi@jonbonjovi Sorry Jerry, but in my opinion it’s nowhere close. I was at the show, undoubtedly an amazing show, but I’ve seen them play better.
Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.
This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.
Auschwitz took time.
@WendyRach@TheRealSambora I Was there as well, and what a moment at the end of the song when the crowd wouldn’t let him finish. Definitely one of my top 3 shows, didn’t realise it’d been 10 years! Long overdue another O2 show!
@Jerrybraden92 You and me both, I missed out on the NJ tour by a few months. They were untouchable during KTF, TD, OWN tours. But on their worst day they’re better than anyone. The one show I wish I could’ve seen was Hammersmith Odeon in 1990, I’d pay anything to get that full show on CD/Vinyl!
@Jerrybraden92@BonJovi@jonbonjovi@dbdavidbryan@TheRealSambora They played it as the first song at MK Bowl in 1993, sound was a little rough for the first 15 or so seconds but when it kicked in it completely blew the crowd away. They were on fire, one of the best shows I’ve ever seen them play - better than Wembley ‘95!
