Meet the woman behind early @NASA_Landsat images: Dr. Valerie L. Thomas.
A self-taught programmer, she managed the development of Landsat image processing. Her work in the '70s helped show that satellite imagery could be used to support agriculture. https://t.co/qgIAYqnXEM #BHM
@chrispian I just had my first PT appointment for back pain I’ve been having. I was warned about being mindful of how I bend over the sink when brushing my teeth. Sigh.
It took me multiple tries for PHPStorm to stick. There is definitely a learning curve. I have tried VS Code as well because it seems so popular with WordPress devs. It may be familiarity that keeps me going back but I do like PHPStorm.
@alanefuller@stirrell42@DerekAshauer Im the opposite, i try PHPStorm, but the amount of faff it takes to figure out how to get it working with WP the way i like just winds me up, so go back to VSCode
PHPStan, PHPCS, PHPCBF with WP, WC stubs/autocomplete/snippets are dead easy with VSCode
@alanefuller@DerekAshauer I really love PHPStorm’s built-in support of WordPress. I’ve always wondered how well a WordPress-focused IDE would do… I think there’d be a market for an IDE focused on WordPress development like Local is focused on local hosting for WordPress.
@MarkFGrogan@FromBedrooms I did enjoy that especially having very little exposure to the early British PC industry. I think a couple of my favorites are 8-but Generation (gives a much better picture of the Tramiels) and Once Upon Atari.
