Wish fulfillment features and novels contain settings, scenarios, and characters a viewer would dream of being/being in. Sometimes there’s a wider genre trope as a concept against a setting that would fulfill dreams. Or a fish-out-of-water character getting to dream scenario.
hewwo writing tips thread:
1) every piece of sff tech/magic should cause a problem (even if it solves a separate problem)
2) rewrite the beginning
3) rewrite the ending
4) there needs to be a "problem cascade" ie: the worst thing for the protag should always happen next
