But it’s been less than a decade since Villanova won it all, and the Big East nearly always puts in at minimum 4 teams each year, often 5-7 teams. If they go a decade with numbers like they have this season then the narrative changes

The A10 is definitely a mid major. the Big East qualifies for reasons like the number of tourney teams they get each year, TV deal/revenue, and they are more direct competitors for recruiting to ACC/Big Ten/SEC schools.
