CERN: This week, 15 of our A Level Physics pupils have travelled to CERN in Switzerland. CERN is the European Organization for Nuclear Research, and one of the world’s largest and most respected centres for scientific research. We hope our students have a fantastic time!
Great to see former student Ella Shaw, now at Oxford Brookes, continuing her rowing she started with St Leonard's Boat Club. Oxford Brookes beat Oxford University by 3 boat lengths and now face Cambridge in the next round. Well done Ella and your team!
Congratulations to four of our A Level Physicists for their participation in Space Camp. With thanks to Rob Swinney, Science Hub Lead @bwcet and to the Enthuse Project @STEMLearningUK and to our own Miss Stewart!

Freya in Year 13 is one of our 32 Oxbridge applicants in the Sixth Form. She is thrilled today to hear she has progressed to the next step and will be interviewed by Corpus Christi, Cambridge, for History of Art in December.
Looking forward to Year 13 Parents' Evening on Monday which we are running as a hybrid of coming into school and joining on Teams, a first for us. It will be great to be able to have parents/carers in school of the first time for this year group.
@STLDSixthForm is this on your students’ radar?
We want to hear original story ideas about their lives, local community or an issue that matters to them.

Well done to all Year 11 students as they enter into the second week of Mock exams. Good focus and attitude shown. Looking forward to speaking to you again later this term about Sixth Form opportunities for next year.
Well done to all involved last week - Sixth Form students reported how much they enjoyed it even while coping with temperatures of -7 in the tent! Thanks @STLDDofE!
Happy Saturday all. This time last week we were all defrosting across 2 campsites.
Reminder that there’s still time for Year 9 to sign up and for Year 10 with letters (May trip) we have tents and stoves in school. Meetings start next week in DT6 - Year 12 letters to follow.
Looking forward to speaking to Year 12 parents and students on Teams this evening for our 'Life Beyond St Leonard's' presentation. Thanks to Year 13 students Dominic, Kiera, Carolina, Ben and Alice for passing on advice and some top tips about Sixth Form life!
Fantastic to have had so many applications from Year 11 students to our Sixth Form both from current students and external candidates. Good luck to students with Mocks next week!
